Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Princeton University
Our research group is motivated by questions related to space flight, weather, and policy. Addressing these problems requires the development of new theory and algorithms for data assimilation, optimal control, and dynamical systems theory. Current problems of interest can be found on our research page.
Our group will be searching for excellent candidates to join us as PhD students starting Fall 2025. You may send a CV and description of your interest and fit to Prof. Beeson at ryne@princeton.edu. Please apply to the PhD program and specify the MAE research area: Control, Robotics, and Dynamical Systems.
For Princeton students, if you are interested in doing your senior thesis, senior project, or junior independent work with Prof. Beeson, please write him at ryne@princeton.edu to setup a time to discuss.
We currently have opportunities for students interested in cislunar astrodynamics, space situational awareness, autonomous guidance, navigation and control, and space policy.
